Gluten-Free, Vegan and Certified Snacks

Every Modernfood pack carries the GFI Gluten-Free mark. Our snacks are verified under the Gluten-Free Food Program to contain 5 ppm gluten or less, making Modernfood the first snack company in the UAE with this certification. Papy Snacks and Dubai Pofak each hold their own V-Label Vegan licence, issued by V-Label Italia — the first vegan-certified snack brands in the GCC.

Every snack is made in our Dubai plant, certified to ISO 22000:2018 for processing maize and potato-based snacks, and to HACCP, by TÜV Middle East under EIAC accreditation.

Are Modernfood snacks gluten-free?

Yes. Modernfood is certified under the Gluten-Free Food Program, verified to 5 ppm gluten or less, and every pack carries the GFI Gluten-Free mark.

Which Modernfood snacks are vegan?

All five Modernfood snacks are vegan: Papy Snacks, Dubai Pofak, Dubai Pofak Chilli Cheese, Dubai Bites and Chipstix. Papy Snacks and Dubai Pofak also hold their own V-Label Vegan licences.

How can Dubai Pofak be cheesy and vegan?

Dubai Pofak gets its bold cheesy taste from nature-identical cheese flavouring, not real cheese, and contains no milk or other animal ingredients. That's why it holds its own V-Label Vegan licence (4234/2025).

Which Modernfood snack is the spiciest?

Dubai Bites, with chilli and tangy tomato, is our spiciest range. For cheese with heat, try Dubai Pofak Chilli Cheese.

Are Modernfood snacks baked or fried?
