Who we are

This site is operated by Hassan Bin Al Shaikh Food Industries L.L.C, trading as Modern Food, part of the HBAS Group of Industries.

What we collect

We do not require an account and we do not sell personal data. There are three ways data reaches us.

The enquiry form

If you use the form on our contact page, we receive your first and last name, email address, phone number, location, the products or services you tick, who you are buying for, and your message. The form is delivered by Web3Forms, which processes the submission and forwards it to us by email. Your browser sends it to Web3Forms directly.

The careers form

If you apply through our careers page, we receive your name, email address, phone number, area of interest, any link to a CV you choose to give us, and your covering message. Applications are delivered by Web3Forms as well, but through a separate form with its own recipient, so an application reaches the people who handle recruitment and is not mixed in with commercial enquiries.

No CV file is uploaded to this website. The form asks for a link rather than a document, and nothing you submit through it is stored on this site. If you email a CV to us instead, that file sits in our mail account and nowhere else.

Analytics and advertising

These are off until you agree to them. Nothing analytical or advertising-related loads on your first visit. If you choose Accept on the cookie banner, we load Google Tag Manager, which in turn loads Google Analytics and Google Ads tags. These set cookies in your browser and tell us which pages are read and which enquiries came from an advertisement. If you choose Decline, none of it loads at all.

Your answer is stored in your browser's local storage under the key mf-consent, together with the date you gave it. That entry is not a tracking cookie, is never sent to us, and exists only so the banner does not ask you the same question on every page. If we ever change what we are asking about, the stored answer is discarded and you will be asked again rather than having an old answer applied to a new question.

Hosting

This site is hosted on Vercel, which keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser user agent, and the page requested) for security and reliability. These are generated by the act of loading a page and are not linked to anything you submit.

Why we hold it

Enquiries and applications are held so we can answer them, and for as long as the commercial or recruitment relationship they concern is live. Analytics data, where consented to, is held to understand how the site is used. We do not use any of it for automated decision-making or profiling.

Your rights

Under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law, and under the GDPR if you are in the EU or UK, you may ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You may also withdraw consent to analytics at any time by clearing this site's local storage in your browser, which returns you to the undecided state and brings the banner back.

Changes

If we change the processors named above or what we collect, this page changes with them and the review date at the top moves. Material changes to what we ask consent for also reset the cookie banner, so you will be asked again rather than having a previous answer carried over.
